Personalized threat prevention and full visibility into security events
Aircall is a cloud-based call center and phone system solution for companies, with services hosted on AWS, which enables them to support their global customer base. Founded in 2014 in Paris, the company grew rapidly and attracted over a hundred customers worldwide in its first year of operation. In 2019, Aircall passed the 200-employee mark and Anthony Gillaizeau joined the company as IT Director.
Driven by the COVID-19 crisis, the new manager looked for the best way to manage the company's Mac fleet. Anthony Gillaizeau noted: “Aircall needed to increase its productivity and adaptability. With a growing number of customers, we needed to respond to demand quickly and make our employees operational from their first day of work.”
Reinventing Aircall's Apple management
After conducting an internal audit of their tools and needs, Anthony Gillaizeau initiated an integration of Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect.
“It is essential for us to guarantee operational and secure equipment for Aircall’s 800 employees working in nearly 50 countries. A company like ours must offer the best working conditions from day one in the company so that everyone can carry out their daily tasks without placing too much of a strain on the IT department. The zero-touch deployment feature makes this possible: everything is centralized in our database, and the IT teams take care of ordering the device - or configuring it if it is already in the fleet - and making sure that the updates are done. This used to be a time-consuming process because it required each device to physically go through the IT department. Now everything is done remotely.”
“Jamf makes it easy to track each device and reduces or eliminates management steps, allowing hardware to be delivered more quickly. Employees’ devices are secure, no matter where they are.”

Jamf Protect: a trusted partner
To ensure the company’s security while preserving its employees’ experience, Aircall equipped itself with Jamf Protect. An endpoint protection solution designed for the Mac and based on Apple's native security tools, it provides IT teams with the best visibility into the security of their Mac fleet to quickly react and respond to threats when they occur.
"In a world of increasingly fast-moving data flows, we needed a reliable partner. Jamf has met our requirements from the beginning and supports us when necessary. A solution certified by Apple is a guarantee of quality and results: for us, it is the guarantee of optimal security that allows us to set limits for developers, to be alerted in the event of an attack and to react quickly. Jamf Protect provides personalized threat prevention and full visibility into events on a device. Combining Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect makes it easier to track each device and reduces or eliminates management steps, enabling faster hardware delivery. Employees’ devices are secure no matter where they are.", says Anthony.
With the addition of network threat prevention to Jamf Protect in early 2023, Anthony is now looking to block:
- Phishing attempts
- Malicious software
- C2 (Command and Control) servers
- Unauthorized application stores
Jamf Protect gives us protection against malware or the execution of fraudulent programmes or unauthorised applications on our systems.
Discover why, in a high-growth context and with employees working from anywhere, Aircall chose Jamf, not only to manage the company's devices, but also to secure them, protect the company's data, and the privacy of its employees:
Preserving employee privacy
While security is the top priority for IT managers, privacy is paramount for users. Jamf helps combine the two by securing access to users’ personal data. With AWS's global, secure and always-on infrastructure, Aircall can confidently run Jamf Protect, knowing they have a reliable and scalable foundation for their security needs, protecting endpoints and users wherever they are.
“Our employees are located in over 50 countries. It was important to reassure them that their privacy and personal data are protected. We regularly deploy campaigns reminding them that we have no access to their personal data, in compliance with the GDPR.”, says Anthony.
Jamf Protect guarantees that the devices are encrypted and enables Aircall's IT team to monitor their fleet in real time, defend against modern threats, maintain endpoint compliance, identify active threats and respond to them.
Aircall’s success with Jamf
A comprehensive management and security platform is critical to empowering IT and security teams while securing work for end users.
According to Anthony Gillaizeau, it’s important to bring the IT team to the forefront of digital transformation and take a global approach to managing and securing their Apple fleet. “The key to success is continuous improvement and not settling for the bare minimum. It’s also essential to communicate well with your teams and make IT a global topic for the good of the company and employees. It is important to unite the teams around the chosen solution to strengthen everyone’s understanding so that each department understands its responsibility.
Jamf supports new OS versions the same day they are released, keeping Aircall’s hardware always up and running and securing it as soon as an update is available. “This is a huge time saver for an IT department.”
The daily use of Jamf
On a day-to-day basis, Anthony Gillaizeau notes the ease of use of Jamf. "The solution facilitates our day-to-day work and offers us better working conditions thanks to simplified administration and navigation in a tool that does not require extensive technical knowledge. With one click, we can intervene on all the Macs in our fleet.
For start-ups or international companies like Aircall, Jamf supports growth very well. We were 200 employees when I joined the company, and now we are close to 800.”, says Anthony.
When organizations deploy Jamf management and security solutions, IT teams gain efficiency in providing Apple technology and offering users a streamlined onboarding experience and secure baselines out of the box.
